Wilderness Trails Staff

Executive Director
Chris Smith

I have been a part of Wilderness Trails since 1992 and been involved from its beginning in 1967 when my father came on staff. My wife and our three children have all helped at one time or another. It is our privilege to share God's Love and the beauty of His creation to hurting and at-risk youth in Southern Oregon through this camping ministry.

Boys Program Director
James Gordon

James is a past Wilderness Trails volunteer. He comes to us with extensive camp and pack experience. He has volunteered with Child Evangelism Fellowship for 12 years, and serves weekly with Rogue Valley Youth for Christ on their Juvenile Justice Ministry team. James is also active in mission's, leading teams into Mexico for service and evangelistic outreach. His wife, son and daughter all actively support Wilderness Trails.

Girls Program Director
Edie Parmer

After many years of volunteer experience we are happy to have Edie as our new Girls Program Director.  Many of us that have worked with Edie know her heart for the Lord and desire that all kids know God's love.  We are excited to see how God is going to work through her and all of the wonderful volunteers this year.

If you would like to help at camp you can reach her at the above e-mail or at 890-0322.

Camper's Corner

Dear Wilderness Trails,

I had such a great time at camp two weeks ago. I've decided it's the best camping experience I've ever had. I rode a horse for the first time. His name was Billy. I also really like hanging out at night around the campfire.

Love, Mandy
